SUGAR
Sugar appears as the 11th place among the main products exported by Brazil in the year 2023. In the year, 15,980,326 tons of the product were exported, a drop of 12% compared to the year 2022, Sugar is within the category of Semi-manufactured products.
SOY
The country's soybean meal exports are expected to reach 1.75 million tons this month, compared to 1.28 million in the same month in 2023, indicating practically stability versus January, Anec pointed out.
CORN
As for corn, between January and October, 42.7 million tons were exported this year, an amount that is also close to the record for the entire year 2022, when 43.2 million tons were shipped.
FERTILIZERS
Fertilizer exports grew from US$4.2 billion in 2016 to approximately US$6.6 billion in 2021.
RICE
As for imports, Brazil imported 112.6 thousand tons of rice in September, totaling US$46.6 million. This represented a 5.6% drop in volume and a 25% increase in value compared to September 2022.
POWDERED MILK
In 2021, Brazil imported 51,842 tons of whole milk powder and 23,946 tons of skimmed milk powder, that is, in total 75,788 tons of powdered milk were imported. The main countries that Brazil imports from are Mercosur countries, such as Argentina and Uruguay. In the same year, Brazil exported, in total, 3,926 tons of powdered milk.
PALM OIL
In terms of consumption, palm oil is also the most important as it accounts for 35.7% of global demand. In the 2022/23 harvest, consumption of this oil is expected to reach 75.97 million tons, the highest volume in recent years with an increase of 6.9% compared to last year.
GARLIC
China is the world's largest producer and exporter of garlic. Its exports for 2021 were valued at 2,033,585 thousand dollars, an increase of around 2.1% compared to 2019, which was valued at 1,991,142 thousand dollars, according to data from the ITC Trade Map.
